Orlando again and Savannah GA

We finished up at Lazydays and went to Orlando for a weeks stay at the Thousand Trails there. We met up with some of our Mandalay friends and had a great time. The guys, Joe, Ken and Buck, got busy right away and made a laundry rack for the back of our coach. I think they did a good job, and I know they had a good time!! We all went out to dinner a couple of times and had a lot of laughs, wish we had been able to stay a little longer, but we were already making plans to meet again soon. We also met up with another couple, Andy and Virginia, at Thousand Trails Orlando. We met them at Camp Mandalay, Elkhart IN, back in 2008. They were surprised to see us, and since they will be working in NH this summer, we may get to see them up there.

We left Orlando and headed for Northern Florida to spend a week with our friends Connie and Terry. We always have such a great time with them. They have their two grandchildren living very close by, and we got to spend some time with them too. They are so cute and lots of fun to be around, we had a great time there, as always.
With lots to do around this farm, Joe had a good time hanging out with Terry and helping him with his daily chores. Terry helped Joe work on a couple of projects that he been planning to do on the motor home, and they put in a switch for the fuse disconnect on our toad.
We changed our plans a little, because we decided to have our oil change and lube here in Florida at a place where Terry goes, and since we did not have to go to Gaffney SC, we decided to go over to Kings Bay GA for one night at the Naval Sub base there, and then on up to Savannah Georgia to see this area.
We stayed at Hunter Army Air Field in Savannah, at a new campground they just finished improving. Pretty nice place, we spent a couple of nights at this park, and a couple of days touring this beautiful town. Wow, this is a great town, with old homes restored and looking grand. Beautiful old Living Oak trees with Spanish moss hanging down. We took a tour around the town and learned a lot about the history of Savannah.

We enjoyed our visit to this wonderful old historic place, and now we are back on the road toward Maggie Valley North Carolina to visit our friends (Rhonda, Bill, and girls) in there great log cabin home.
