Cape Elizabeth Maine

We arrived in Cape Elizabeth on July 13th and our friends there spent the next 4 days showing us around. We had a great time with Gerry and Sharon, and a great time exploring Maine and all that this beautiful place has to offer.




The ocean and shore was absolutely breathtaking, and the beautiful lighthouses are wonderful.

What a fun time we had here. We are already planning our next trip to Maine, it may be a few years before we make it back, but we will be back, there is too much to see and do here. The fish and seafood alone is worth another trip. But most of all we want to see Gerry and Sharon again they were so much fun, and we will keep in touch.

Boston Massachusetts

We stopped in the Albany New York area for a week to have our water pump replaced and to have a short visit with our family nearby. We stated at an Elks Lodge in Schenectady NY and tested our water pump there. It works great, so we are glad that they figured out what the problem was.

Now we are off again, heading for Maine to visit some friends there. We are going to spend four days in Boston then go on up the coast. These are a few of the beautiful buildings we saw on our trolley tour around the city.




When we arrived in Boston, we found out that 40 Tall Ships were in port for a few days, on their trip around the world. What a great time for us to arrive there, these ships are spectacular. We took a harbor cruise so we could get a better view of the ships and the beautiful skyline of Boston, it was a great hour and a half cruise.

We saw Fenway Park, the oldest major league baseball stadium in use today, and the home of the Boston Red Sox since the opening in 1912. A lot of baseball history here, and what a fascinating place, they do have tours of the stadium, but the day we were in town, there were no tours because of the game schedule.

These are pictures of the Leonard P Zakim-Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge over the Charles River in Boston, this is the widest cable-stayed bridge in the world, and is part of the Big Dig in Boston the most expensive highway project ever.

We stopped at Cheers Bar for lunch and took a few pictures while we were there. Fun place to visit and good food too.

We had a lot of fun in Boston, and there is a lot more to see here, so we may come back for a day or two while we are in Albany during the next month or so. It is time for us to leave now and head on up to Maine for a few days.
