South Dakota residents now

We are in Sioux Falls South Dakota now. It is very nice here and we have decided to have South Dakota for our residency. This is a beautiful state with lots to do and see here. We are staying at the Yogi Bear Campground here in Sioux Falls, this is a great park.

We have already gotten our new driver's licenses and registered to vote, and we have registered our motor home in SD now. We had to wait on registering our new car because we have not received our mso in the mail yet. We are expecting it by Tuesday and will get that done then leave here on Wednesday to head for the Mandalay Rally in Indiana.
While we are here we are seeing all we can and staying pretty busy. In the center of Sioux Falls, near the downtown business area, there is a gorgeous water fall and a large beautiful park. It seems like they built the whole city around this water falls and park, it's right in the middle of everything. They have lots of activities at this park all year round.

We went to the Great Plains Zoo and nature museum yesterday in Sioux Falls, and today we went to Palisades State Park and the Split Rock Park. Jesse James' and his gang had a hide out there in a cave at Split Rock. When the law was after them they could hide out in this cave and nobody knew where it was.

It was a beautiful day today, cool and a little overcast, the weather was great until it started raining. Tonight it is raining very hard, lightning and thunder too. We are going try and see some more of the local sights tomorrow, if the rain stops for a while.
We have seen more rain in the last 3 months on this trip, than we did in the last 10 years in California.
Our new address is: 3700 S. Westport Ave # 3601, Sioux Falls, SD 57106

Austin's Soccer Game

We got a chance to go to our Grandson's first soccer game before we left Camdenton Mo, so we wanted to share a few of the pictures with you all. Austin's number is 2 and he is in a red shirt

We had such a great time at his game that day, those little 4 and 5 year old kids are so cute and they try so hard to play the game and understand what is going on. This was the first game of the year and they were not too sure what they were supposed to do yet.

New Car for the Dube's

Well we left Missouri about a week ago and headed for Wichita, Kansas to visit our friends there. We went to McConnell AFB there and got a space at the FamCamp, they do not have a very big camp there (electric and water only) and lodging takes care of the sign up. They have free washers and dryers in the laundry room near the office, so that was nice.
We had to go to Saturn to buy a couple of small plastic grommets for the wheel well of our car, and somehow ended up with a new Saturn Aura instead. I guess Joe won't take me with him next time...Ha Ha !!

This is our old Saturn Ion parked next to our new Saturn Aura.
We got such a great deal on this car, that we just couldn't say no. It is a 2008 Saturn Aura, and it's bigger than our Saturn Ion was, and the color is bronze and it matches our motor home.
We are in Omaha Nebraska now having some work done on our motor home, we will be here for a couple more days, then off toward South Dakota. We will be in Indiana on October 5th for a Mandalay Travel Club Rally. That is a club for Mandalay and Presidio motor home owners, and this rally is a great place to learn more about what other owners are experiencing.

Still in Camdenton,MO

Hi all, well we are still in Candenton, Missouri, and we are planning to head out next Tuesday, the 10th of September. We were delayed here for a week, because of two things;
1. We had to have some electrical repair work done on our coach, and of course had to get a part repaired, so that took a couple of days to get installed.
2. Hurricane Gustov that hit the gulf coast, decided that the mid section of our nation needed a little storm, so dumped about 4 or 5 inches of rain in 3 days and nights.

Of course the hard rain also helped us find a leak in the front of our coach, near the top, dripping right through the driver's side dash fan. Hopefully, we will not have much rain before we get to the factory and they can add that to our list of repairs.

We have friends in Wichita, Kansas, so that is our next stop when we leave here. We will spend a few days there at McConnell AFB Famcamp. We will visit with our friends Jeff Pickard and his family while we are there. Of course we will make our Commissary and BX run, like we always do when we get to any military base.
